Anything and everything around my current campaigns and clients. No two days are the same; I love the variety of this job.

Chief Spark – I’m an ideas man!

Tell us a bit about your background

I initially trained in design, but quickly found I felt more at home with the project management side of things. Since then I’ve worked for various agencies on global projects and studied alongside work to gain my professional marketing qualifications.

Favourite client project and why?

My favourite projects are the ones where there is a real opportunity to add value. One that stands out is when I worked with an established company who had been experiencing difficulties with their branding and resellers. Our role was to create new assets and ideas which would bring together all parties. This really unified the team, having a hugely positive effect on the business.

What exciting projects do you have coming up?

We are currently developing an exciting new website for a global software provider. We’re working to a tight timescale; creating content, mapping user journeys and working with key stakeholders.

What qualities do you bring to the Marketing Fusion team?

I’m a pretty easy-going person; I like to help people develop and grow by sharing my experience, and I enjoy learning from others. Listening is an important part of the role, as is asking the difficult questions – I like to gather the facts, then stand back and try to challenge preconceptions.

Favourite tools of the trade?

Technology is a great asset, but actually I am a bit of a scribbler and I’d be lost without my notebook!

What attracted you to working for MF?

I think Marketing Fusion create smart content which really engages the customer. They seem to be really forward-thinking with their visual assets and ideas, and we have quickly established a great rapport.

If you could take Marketing Fusion on a team building day, where would you go?

My son recently had a laser tag party for his 8th birthday and it was brilliant. Chaotic and utterly mad, but brilliant. I’m not sure if the MF team would be up for it, but I think it would be a hoot!

How will you be spending your next day off?

I’ve been invited to a gin tasting! I’m no connoisseur but I’m looking forward to a fun day out.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what would be your 2 essential items?

A giant sombrero to keep off the elements, and can I get room service?!
