Supporting Action for Children, Sleeping Rough for Charity with Byte Night

Marketing Fusion and C8 Join Forces to Support Byte Night

On Friday 2 October, we will be joining hundreds of IT professionals in a sponsored sleep-out on the streets of Reading in aid of Action for Children.

Each year, at least 80,000 children and young people experience homelessness. One in three attempt suicide and 1 in 7 young runaways are physically or sexually assaulted (this figure rises to almost 1 in 2 after a week).

There are many reasons why children and young people can find themselves vulnerable and without a safe, secure place to live. Byte Night raises money to help Action for Children tackle the root causes of youth homelessness.

You too can help us prevent child homelessness and despair from becoming a reality

With your support, not only can we help keep thousands of children and young people off the streets and away from the risk of physical and sexual assault, we’ll also help them build better lives with secure accommodation, education and training opportunities.

More information about Byte Night

Byte Night is Action for Children's biggest annual fundraiser; a national ‘sleep-out’ event. Each year, hundreds of like-minded people from the technology and business arena give up their beds for one night to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. It all began in 1998 when 30 individuals slept out in London and raised £35,000. Since then Byte Night has grown to 8 UK locations and over 1300 people slept out in 2014 and have raised over £1.1 million. Byte Night is one of the UK’s top 20 mass participation charity events and is the largest charity sleep-out having raised over £7.2m since the first event.
